Wang Guangyiは、中国アートの中でも「ポリティカルポップ」の旗手として、早くから注目を集めたアーティストです。木版画のタッチを用いた中国社会主義のプロパガンダに用いられるビジュアル、アメリカのポップアートの手法、そして資本主義の象徴として有名ブランドのロゴを描いています。社会主義である中国に急速に浸透してきている資本主義化の波を、「Great Criticism（大批判）シリーズ」として彼独自のビジュアルを展開しています。様々な原色を用いたビジュアルは、中国のポップアートの代表的な作品として世界中のコレクターに収集されています。
